Issue 4 of FeedFront magazine is now available. This has been by far the most beautiful cover ever and I’m not just saying it because I was on it. I am saying it because it’s the truth; the Women of Affiliate Marketing look fantastic. We make it look easy but behind our smiling faces we have gone through years of hard work. To get to where we are today, I am proud because I personally have faced things as a businesswoman and I am sure these women have as well. I feel I have it easier thanks to women before me that have paved the way and expected nothing but equal opportunities. To all the women of affiliate marketing your dedication has made the industry what it is today. Now I want to take a moment to say hello to some of the Women that I know and I look up to. You ladies have inspired me in ways that you can not even imagine. Being around you especially meeting some of you at Affiliate Summit has made me want more, more involvement on my part and to have success on another level. I started off last year by introducing myself in ABW, I then attended conferences, joined twitter, and the rest is history. Just being able to partner with some of these ladies on promotions or hearing a supportive comment back from them along my journey, has made my life in affiliate marketing feel like home.
Missy I remember meeting you in Arizona. You were actually one of the first people I ever spoke to from the indutry. We were sitting at the pool ordering some tasty beverages and you were telling me about your son. I had no idea who you were at this time and you were so easy to talk to. If someone would have told me that you were co-founder of the best affiliate marketing conference I would have probably been intimidated but to the contrary you were so cool and by the time I found out it was no sweat. Besides being open to people Missy does so much for the industry with Affiliate Summit. I don’t think we could count all the doors you have opened for everyone in the industry. Lastly, your advocacy for Breast Cancer through fundraising and your dedication to the 3 day yes 3 day walk is very special and dear to our hearts.
Kim, I gave Revenue Today to my mom because she was interested in learning what affiliate marketing is about. She was most impressed with this article on Kim in called The Marketing Mama. I read the story on how you capitalized and made affiliate marketing your career. You and TrishaLyn have inspired me to want to get more active in the community. Kim you inspired me to blog and Trisha you inspired me to share my notes from the conferences because you really did find them useful. In Boston, some of my twitter friends Trisha and LisaP were very friendly. LisaP shared her wine with us followed with the bolitas de queso. Definitely a bonding moment. It showed me that even when you are the Editor of a magazine that doesn’t mean you are unapproachable.
To sum it up, I have found all the women in our industry have been extremely welcoming to me and I wouldn’t have it any other way. There are many women I don’t want to leave out and I can be here typing for hours but Jen Goode, SBA, the awesome SAS women, the beautiful Buy.at ladies, my sunshine ladies, abw friends, and so many more. Thank you for being you and for what you do every day. You make me proud to be a woman in affiliate marketing!
