Earlier today via twitter Brian Littleton, CEO of ShareASale, made a surprise announcement. Today was the very first ShareASale Performance Awards…how exciting! The awards will be annual and started off with some important hand-picked winners. This year the awards included: Exceptional Affiliate, Merchant, Affiliate Manager, PowerRank Champion, Emerging Technology, and the Pay It Forward Awards. These are the Awards of 2008 and are sure to grow in the future.
Kudos to ShareASale for starting off a new tradition. What a great start, moments like these set a higher standard for all of us. To each winner, you have impacted the industry in a special way keep it up. Srsly, we could use more people like you in the industry! Congrats to all the winners especially Scotty, Missy, and Checks Unlimited…they must have some sweet program management. 
I think the coolest Award this year is the Emerging Technology Award. I nominate this Award for the Best ShareASale Performance Award of 2008. But in all seriousness, here is a part of the requirement for winning the Emerging Technolgy Award, “The winner doesn’t need to be big or small, just innovative and inspiring.” If you are shooting for any award I think this is the one. It’s definitely something outside of the box and who doesn’t want to inspire? Inspiration FTW! Props to GreenPlanetSearch the 2008 Winners. I actually do not know who they are but I will find out now.
