I’m a pretty big deal

Describe me in one word

I guess Twitter is a big deal to me. Actually in the race of Twitter vs Facebook I think besides the pictures Twitter is completely winning right now. As I spend all this time on Twitter I thought to myself how do I take this to the next level? On some twitter pages I have seen backgrounds basically advertising themselves or their business. I looked at some from @JGoode, @ajv, @JimKukral and many others that I liked. I started seeing visions of what my Twitter background would look like. How would I express myself through that tiny amount of space?

I am not someone in affiliate marketing that is a designer so I needed to get some help. Luckily, I had someone in mind that I have worked on projects with. I began to share ideas with him and those conversations lead to my prototype that I just saw tonight, which I am very excited over! A lot went into creating it because there is a little amount of space where you get to see a snip it of who I am. For those of you that know me, I have a lot to say.

It made more sense for me to pinpoint images that I enjoy and give the rest up to the artist to create. I enjoy art but I am the kind of artist that would draw with pastels for hours or days have something beautiful but continue drawing to make it perfect. Then I would end up crumpling up my work because I would overdo it or fail to reach perfection. So this time I left it to the experts, in this case @DeluxeBanners! He has been so great with me in helping me get what I see in my mind on paper. For example, I said champagne bottle he said champagne bubble, YES…thank you! He helped me stay focused and most importantly classy.

Another thing I had to decide besides a theme was what content I wanted. Basically this is about me, and as much as I love talking about myself I had a hard time picking exactly what to say. Therefore, I went to the most special source, my friends. Some have known me for a long time and a few that I have met more recently but all I consider friends. I wanted to see what they had to say about me. So basically, I asked them to describe me short and sweet and off the top of their heads.

Describe me in one word:
They all had some really sweet and interesting words for me. One person called me impatient which is completely true but that couldn’t make the cut. You know who you are mister! Yes I am impatient but give me word number two that comes to mind please. Maybe I asked in a manner that wasn’t so calm but to my defense I had a deadline! 0:) This part of the process was definitely my favourite. I love the ones that right off the bat gave me their word without asking why or what it was for. That’s when you know you have a trusting friend.

What sets my background apart from others?
When I reveal my new Twitter background you will get to see my friend’s word and next to that word their @twitter names. You can become friends with my friends, well my friends aren’t really gona be your friends but you can follow them on Twitter which is the next best thing. And at the end of the day, that’s what Twitter is all about, connecting, sometimes with people you thought you would never get to get in touch with. Did you know I am friends with @jimmyfallon? Ok fine he didn’t give a word about me I just follow him and read his updates. He is in NYC so for Affiliate Summit East I will totally @reply and invite him to bowling, you never know!
