I have quite a conference schedule ahead of me, so I thought you might want to know where I’m going and why. With so many conferences out there vying for your attention, take this as a handy little guide to finding the best ones. It is always important to know when and where to spend your conference going dollars.
First up I’ll be heading to Orlando for Izeafest. Izeafest is a conference focused on blogging and social media. This has me excited because social media is my other passion besides affiliate marketing.
Why IzeaFest:
First of all I want to thank RefreshMiami, I was one of the lucky members to get a free pass. Izeafest may help propel my blogging to the next level. There is nothing wrong with monetizing your blog, so I am looking forward to learning more about how to do that. Plus did I mention that Izeafest is being held at SeaWorld?
SMX:
SMX is going on right after Izeafest in New York. This conference is concentrated on Search.
Why SMX?
The exhibit hall passes are free and located in my city. If there is a conference going on in your city, it never hurts to attend. You never know who you will meet.
Think Tank brings together the minds of affiliate marketing. The audience is intimate and the venues are exceptional. Think Tank is about about advancing the industry through connecting key industry people and their ideas.
Why Think Tank?
This conference is on an entire different level. Other conferences are heavy on networking and sales pitches. Think Tank focuses on growth and a common end goal for all. Think Tank attendees have the potential to build strong relationships and lasting partnerships.
I will be speaking PubCon on an affiliate marketing panel with elements of social media. Joining me will be the lovely Lisa Riolo, a well know consultant will be the sessions moderator. Michael Jenkins the CEO of Market Leverage, will be the sessions Q&A moderator.
Why PubCon?
PubCon, Las Vegas, draws a wider audience including affiliate marketing but also search, marketing, advertising, and more. This conference is great for making new contacts and doing business with bigger businesses.
At the end of the day, the reason people attend conferences is to increase their network and receive an ROI. I have seen it first hand that meeting your local technology community and making connections at conferences does convert to more business. It is a natural process but keep in mind it takes time to build. The more you put your company and your brand out there the better chances you have of getting noticed.
If you are attending any of these conferences feel free to reach out to me. Happy Travels!
