It is the night before I leave and I am yet to pack. Let’s keep this one short and sweet. Tuesday is the second day of the exhibit booth and time to solidify what you have been doing. Yes you will be tired and about ready to leave Vegas but don’t forget to keep networking. Make sure you have met every person on your list.

Today are the Fourth Annual Affiliate Summit Pinnacle Awards. I always look forward to seeing the nominees for these prestigious awards. They play a big role in making our industry a better place so it is important to attend this event. This year the awards are in the morning. The only downside is I will not be wearing that dress I planned on. The great upside is this new schedule will allow more people that have evening flights the availability to attend.

Brian Clark is doing the keynote following the Awards Ceremony. I heard Brian speak during Audience Conference a couple months ago. This conference was an intimate setting and I think he was a great speaker. I enjoyed his time on the stage and I will stick around to see what he has in store for us at Summit.

Since we are going to watch this Awards Ceremony let’s take a peak at the nominees. These are people that continuously stand apart from the crowd. They go the extra mile and make things happen. I see some familiar faces. People that have been nominated and winners of different awards in the industry. Keep it up and good luck to the nominees. I am sure they must be excited.

After the Awards are given out and and the keynote amazes us. I will take a moment to be proud of the winners. Then I am heading back to the exhibit hall and blogger’s lounge for a bit. FYI on Tuesday the hall and lounge close earlier at 4:00 pm since it is the last day of the conference.

What: Blogger’s Lounge
The Blogger’s Lounge is an area reserved for credentialed bloggers/press to grab some desk space, blog, interview, relax and network. Heather Smith will be the BlogMistress of the Affiliate Summit Blogger’s Lounge, where she’ll be acting as liaison between Affiliate Summit and the press and bloggers attending the show.

Recently there has been a new network announced. Not only that but it is founded by two of the greats in our industry. Todd Crawford and Lisa Riolo have announced the launch of their new company: ImpactRadius.com.

Here is a snip-it I got from their website describing Impact Radius:

“[Discover. Define. Connect.] Impact Radius links performance advertising to TV, radio, print and online distribution channels—delivering to advertisers and media partners opportunities for growth and profit.”

I have seen some great press and comments since the launch this month. I look forward to learning more about Impact Radius and speaking to Todd and Lisa about it at Summit. If you are curious they are holding a room the entire day on Tuesday. Here is a tweet below inviting us to learn more:

Wow this is going to be an epic show. I am also staying until Wednesday. This means free time in Vegas! What shall I ever do? There are a couple places I am yet to see in Vegas that I want to explore. Paris is my favourite city in the world I will go visit and pretend like it is the real thing. I will also cross the Bellagio fountains off my list.
